TFA Lookup Service
The Thayer Families Association, TFA, is sponsoring a "lookup" program for its members. The service is free for members only. Members may request either on-line email lookups at no charge or replies by postal mail with a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE) included.
Lookups should be for specific persons/families, and not catch all or shotgun type requests. Any surname can be researched, not just Thayer. Volunteers have the right to reject requests that are so general as to require extensive work.
The table below lists lookups currently available. Another form of service just added is our Research Offerings, which is a temporary service unlike the Lookup Service which is considered ongoing.
Any and all TFA Members are also encouraged to VOLUNTEER for lookups from books in their own library as a service to other TFA members and TFA. Books containing transcripts of public records are preferred but County Histories and genealogies are accepted. If you can provide lookups either by e-mail or postal mail, or both, please contact the program manager, Jerry Thayer at hjthayer@verizon.net or by postal mail at 1006 Old Denbigh Blvd., Apt. 213, Newport News, VA 23602-2029. The title of the book and state/county/town covered, your name, address, and e-mail address are needed to post in The Thayer Quarterly and here on the TFA Web Site.

Each listing is descriptive in what it offers, and a point of contact is listed.
