Father Charles Cleveland Thayer passes away at age 85 years, 9 months and 9 days.
This week I received a most appreciated card of thanks from the widow of our beloved cousin, Father Charles Cleveland Thayer. He was born 12 Jul 1931 in Abingdon, Washington, VA, and passed away on 20 Apr 2017 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha, SD. Those who attended the 2005 Thayer Family Reunion in Abingdon were privileged to meet Charles, Evelyn, their son Hugh and wife Cathy, and their sons Grant and Drew.
Evelyn writes the following:
Dear Patricia, Your lovely card is a comfort to us. God has given us strength! Our Grandsons remember the Thayer reunion in Abingdon. We will take Charles’ ashes to Abingdon the first weekend in August to be interred in the Columbarius at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. I want the grandchildren to see relatives and Abington as adults.
With our thanks and love, Evelyn and family.
