So much great information here. There is a lot of confusing information about the Thayer history. I'm grateful that there's so much attention put to correcting that. I noticed that on here you have Mary Wheelock married to Ebenezer, son of Ebenezer and Mary (Thomson) Thayer. I've always had her a married to the son of Isaac and Mercy Thayer. Have I had it wrong all these years?

Hello Thayer Family, My grandmother was Edith Thayer, born in Vermont and or area now identified as Braintree, MA, on or about 1886 December 9; who married William Latimer. Edith lived until age 101 plus. Her mother was Priscilla White. Oral history tracked back to 1580-s arrived in America around 1640 (?) with written records lost somewhere in the family. Families still reside in NY and CT. Any help in reconstructing the records will be appreciated.

My father, Lloyd Carlton Thayer, joined your organization many years ago and filled out a form about our family history. I'm trying to do the same thing but in more detail and have gotten stuck. His grandfather was Jacob Thayer and can't find name of his grandmother. All information stops with these two people. Did he happen to write any info. about them to your organization. Thanks so much. Hello Chris, I am Patricia Thayer Muno, Family Historian for the Thayer Families Association and the author of A Comprehensive Genealogy of the Thayer Family of America. Arba Thayer was born 1773 in Mendon, Worcester, MA, the fifth of 12 children born to Ichabod Thayer and Mary Marsh. He married 1795 to Polly White. Arba died 1833 in Hopkinton, Middlesex, MA, and they had NO children. He did, however have a great many nieces and nephews, many of whom may appear in your photo. I have a "Thayer Museum" here in my home in North Ogden, Utah, and as curator, would be very delighted to be able to add the photo of which you speak to the collection of Thayer artifacts. Is there any chance you could remove the glass and then mail if I were to pay for your postage and handling costs? You may contact me directly at TriciaMuno@aol.com. Thank you sincerely for your kind message and offer to share. Patricia
